WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WLFX) - Authorities are investigating the murder of a West Palm Beach couple found Thursday night.

Police were called to the home of Linda and Aaron Sampson at 3700 Australian Court at 8:30 pm Thursday. Authorities found Linda, a pastry chef, dead; Aaron, who owns Sampson Moving and Storage, was rushed to St. Mary's Medical Center, where he later died.

The Sampsons were quiet residents and very involved in their church, St. John Missionary Baptist, said neighbors and friends. Parishioners grew worried Thursday night when Aaron did not show up for church as scheduled.

"Somebody called our musician, Gwen," said fellow church member Derrick Brown, with tears in his eyes. "Somebody called her. That's when she told us and we came over here right away."

Detectives are still trying to determine a motive behind the killings. The initial investigation did not show signs of forced entry, authorities said.

"Of course, people -- this type of nice, residential community -- are going to be apprehensive and very scared," said West Palm Beach Police Lt. David Bernhardt. "There's no leads at this point."

As of Friday morning, police are still looking for suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call the West Palm Beach police tip line at 1-866-312-7193, or Palm Beach County CrimeStoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS.
