LAKE WORTH, FL (WFLX) - The Palm Beach County sheriff's office got quite a surprise Wednesday night when they showed up to a home on Brooklyn Lane in Lake Worth.

They were responding to a domestic disturbance, but, when they arrived, they found an arsenal of weapons including grenades.

Robert Scott, 44, was arrested for making various threats on deputies.

It all started when police showed up to do a welfare check and clearly saw a grenade behind Scott when he answered the door. Police asked to come in, and then found a gun cabinet stocked with numerous grenades, guns, assault rifles and ammunition.

Two children, ages 7 and 1, were in the home at the time.

Five houses in the area were evacuated.

The bomb squad was sent in to remove the grenades.
