STUART, FL (WFLX) - Teachers return to Martin County High School Monday for the first time since a football game fight ended with five young wounded staff.

Update, MON 10:15 AM: Investigators are searching for a third day for a teenage girl they say stabbed five others during a melee that ensued after a high school football game in southeast Florida.

The incident occurred near the main entrance of Martin County High School on Friday night after a game against rival South Fork High School. Sheriff's spokeswoman Rhonda Irons said Sunday evening that investigators have not made an arrest.

In the incident, one person involved also was Tasered by a deputy. Authorities say another person was bitten by a police dog and one woman was arrested in a series of unrelated fights that involved around 30 people outside the school. None of the injuries were life threatening.

Detectives believe that a rivalry existed between those involved in the stabbings. South Fork beat Martin County 35-10.

A mother of one of the teens tells us this fight could have been prevented. She tells us, in her opinion, this fight could have been prevented.

It all took place on Friday night after the football game between Martin County and South Fork High Schools.

Deputies say that the all-out brawl involved about 30 people, including five women who were stabbed. They're between the ages of 16 and 20.

The mother of one of the victims tells us there were rumors flying through the school on Friday that the fight was going to take place after the game and that the school principal even made announcement to students during classes Friday that anyone caught fighting after the football game would be expelled.

Investigators tell us they are looking for a 21-year-old woman in connection with the stabbings.

As far as a motive, they would only tell us that "some sort of prior relationship existed between the people involved in this fight."

We were unable to reach the principal as well as any of the assistant principals for comment just yet.

Of course we're hoping to get some of that later Monday morning. We can tell you, though, that the sheriff's office says that the five people who were stabbed during this fight were treated and released from a local hospital.
