Romance doesn't fade

Posted by Rachel Leigh email

(WFLX) - Call it a different kind of puppy love: A new study says couples who have been together for years are just as in love as couples who just fell in love.

Neurologists say they scanned the brains of men and women married for an average of 21 years.

When the couples were shown a picture of their significant others, their brains reacted in the same way as men and women who had fallen in love with their partners within the year.

The only difference? The new love participants have more obsession and anxiety feelings. Old love participants showed more of a calmness and attachment.
