DELRAY BEACH, FL (WFLX) - Four masked gunmen, dressed in black, burst into a Dunkin' Donuts on Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach, and turn a quiet evening into mayhem.

Police released surveillance video of the shooting spree that happened about 10:30 Wednesday night at a Dunkin' Donuts at 4800 West Atlantic Avenue.

One of the guys was armed with a shotgun. He jumped over the counter, and, seconds later, he got an employee to open the cash register. The other thugs were in the dining room, ordering customers to get down on the floor and stealing cash and wallets from their pockets.

The guy with the shotgun then opened fire at close range shooting three customers. One of the victims, an elderly man, was shot in the mouth. We talked exclusively to his wife. "If I got them, I'd shoot them myself. My husband's 84 years old. He has no mouth. They shot him in the mouth!"

Rebecca Bornstein said after visiting her husband in the hospital, she told us the whole thing is unbelievable. "I think it's a nightmare that these kids were allowed to roam, and do what they want, and no one can get them. Come in with a shotgun and shoot innocent people for no reason?"

The shooting victim's son says he flew down from New York when he learned what happened. "Random act of violence, no excuse for this kind of thing is there? None. My father's 84. He didn't go to the floor fast enough. They just shot him. Wrong place at the wrong time," Gary Bornstein said.

He told us his father had played poker with friends that night, and, then, stopped there for coffee.

After the hold-up, police say, the four gunmen ran from the Dunkin' Donuts, and the guy with the shotgun fired at a motorist shooting him through the windshield of his car.

A neighbor who lives behind the Dunkin' Donuts told us she heard one of the shotgun blasts Wednedsay night. "Basically, it was just like a bomb noise. It was really loud, that's all I heard, and then the cops came," Sabrina Sharmin told us.

Sharmin also happens to be a cashier at the Dunkin' Donuts, but, she says, Wednesday night was her night off. So, luckily, she was not in the restaurant at the time of the hold-up and shooting. "Crazy, it's just scary to go outside now, pretty much," Sharmin said as she stood in the doorway of her home.

There were three Dunkin' Donuts employees working at the time of the armed robbery. They escaped unhurt.

Thursday afternoon, workers in white bio-hazard suits were inside cleaning up after the shooting spree.

Customers who came by for donuts and coffee on Thanksgiving, and found the restaurant to be closed, were stunned by the shooting. "I think it's horrible - absolutely horrible. I can't believe that someone would shoot innocent people lying on the floor. It's not like as if these older people were gonad get up and chase these robbers down," said Allison Ruggieri, a frequent customer who said she sometimes stops at this particular Dunkin' Donuts twice a day.

Police say there's a $6,000 reward in this case. At last report, all four shooting victims were still alive.
