(WFLX) Auto sales are down. Automakers say they are in serious trouble. Today the big three U.S. automakers say they are counting on Congress to help them out of this financial mess.
Ford sales have dropped 31 percent. General Motors and Chrysler sales have plunged more than 40 percent, all in the month of November.
Still automakers say their companies are worth saving. "The cost of a bankruptcy or a loss of a U.S. manufacturer of automobiles is a far greater cost than a loan for a couple of years."
