Ice Cream Man Shooting Arrest

BOYNTON BEACH, FL (WFLX) - Police arrested a Boynton Beach man in connection with the shooting death of an ice cream vendor.

They found Michael Murdock and the getaway vehicle. He's in custody and under questioning.

Deputies say the suspects flagged down an ice cream truck owned by Fresnel Atilus. At least one of those suspects shot the 32 year old several times.

The Haitian-American man was trying to support his six children and his pregnant wife.

"This appears to be a robbery, but we don't know what, if anything was taken from the truck" , said an official.

Investigators say Atilus, was the victim of an attempted robbery November 7th. They don't know if the cases are connected.

Two suspects remain on the run this morning.  If you know anything, call Palm Beach Crimestoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS.
