BOCA RATON, FL (WFLX) - Fire fighters in Boca Raton are doing more than just saving lives this holiday season; they're also giving back.

The Boca Raton Fire Department kicked off its 18th annual toy drive this month. Anyone can drop off new, unused toys at any fire station in Boca Raton. The gifts will then be given to local kids and teens through the KIND foundation, Kids in Distress, and other local charities.

Santa Claus is also making a cameo in Boca Raton this holiday season as part of the annual toy drop.

Santa will deliver toys to your children at your home over the weekend in exchange for a $20 donation to the firefighters benevolent fund. Parents can drop off wrapped toys from 6 - 9 PM Monday December 8 at Fire Station #1 at 1151 S. Federal Highway in Boca Raton. Santa will ride on his fire truck to deliver the toys on Saturday and Sunday December 13 and 14.

Proceeds from the toy drop will help send holiday care packages to troops overseas and fund college scholarships to local children.
