WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX) - New details in the bizarre case of a suburban West Palm Beach man whose body was found in a freezer.

Update, TUE 10 AM: Authorities say the body of 84-year-old Eugene Floto was found stuffed in a freezer at his home on Mango Drive. It started Saturday morning when Floto's 15-year-old grandson came home and found a suicide note on the door.

He found his dad, 46-year-old Richard Floto, dead in a van. A sheriff's spokeswoman says it appears he committed suicide with the exhaust.

The teen then discovered his grandfather dead in the freezer. Authorities say the elderly man had been ill but refused to go to the hospital and was no longer taking his medication. They say, it appears, his 46-year-old son could not stand to live without his father.

From the outward appearance of the elderly man's body, there is no sign of foul play.

Update, SUN 10 PM: Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies found an 80-year-old man dead in a freezer after they responded to a suicide call at the same house.

The medical examiner will perform an autopsy on an elderly man found dead inside his son's freezer. The family lives on Mango Drive in Suburban West Palm Beach.

The elderly man's teenage grandson called police after finding his 46-year-old father dead in a van in the front of the house. The teenager also found a suicide note.

When deputies arrived they also found the teen's grandfather dead inside a freezer. Investigators say the 80-year-old grandfather had been sick for sometime and was refusing to take his medication or see a doctor.

Previously: Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies found an 80-year-old man dead in a freezer after they responded to a suicide call at the same house.

Here's what Palm Beach County Sheriff's Deputies are saying: Around 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning, a teen called 911 to report the death of his father. His father apparently committed suicide inside a van in front of the home. When deputies responded they also found an 80-year-old man dead inside a freezer. He is the father of the man who committed suicide.

Deputies told Fox 29 that a suicide note on the front door said the 46-year-old man who killed himself could not live without his ailing 80-year-old father. Paperwork inside the home showed the 80-year-old man had been sick for sometime and refused to go to the hospital and no longer took his medication.

An autopsy will be performed on him to discover exactly how he died. Right now, investigators are not releasing the name of the victim to protect the privacy of the teen who found his father.

We do know the 15-year-old son tried to talk his father out of suicide just before Thanksgiving.
