WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX) - Viewers, who saw a local soldier propose to his girlfriend at PBIA, are now offering to help the two get married quickly.

Update: WED 11 AM: "Shawnee, I love you, and I want to know, 'Will you marry me?'"

Army Sgt. Michael Suggs is on mid-tour leave from Iraq. He and Shawnee are hoping to get married before he has to go back next month.

After seeing our story: A local notary who's also a vetern offered to marry the two free of charge. A group called Operation Home Front has offered to provide a free wedding dress from Alfred Angelo Bridal. Dayl Davidoff of Davidoff Studios, has offered his services for free. And the Delray Beach Marriott has offered their property for Shawnee's and Michael's big day!

We'll let you know when they tie the knot!

Previously: He's home for the holidays from Iraq, but a local Army sergeant wanted to make this a memorable visit.

And Fox 29 cameras were there when he got off the plane.

Sergeant Michael Suggs, asked, "What's up baby?"

Suggs gave his girlfriend more than just a hug after he landed at PBIA Monday.

"On TV? On Fox 29 TV!" exclaimed Shawnese Ware.

Moments after landing, he pulled out a ring and dropped down on one knee. "Shawnee, I love you, and I want to know, 'Will you marry me?'"

The couple met two years ago at an airport, so it was only fitting that they get engaged in one.

Michael says they'd talked about getting married, but Shawnese was still stunned. "I'm speechless right now," said Shawnese.

Speechless, but happy, and now engaged.

"Show her the ring," said Michael.

The two plan to wed quickly because Michael heads back to Iraq in January. But his immediate focus is less on nuptials and more on victuals.

"My list [of places to eat]. It's in DC, Palm Beach - seafood, steak and Italian. But, I did say, the first meal I ate would be yours."

Michael and Shawnese say they plan to get married in the next couple of days at City Hall, but they'll have a larger ceremony with family and friends when he gets back for good.
