NEAR WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX) - They lost their investments; now, they've lost their belongings. A local estate sale company selling off thousands of dollars worth of goods from alleged Bernard Madoff victims.

Chair, tables and antiques are just a few items up for sale. Many from alleged Madoff victims. Kofski's Antiques owner, Chris Hill, says, "We have a couple of clients we are working with very descretely and trying to help them dispose of personal property and things of that nature in order to help them with their cause."

Hill and his wife Melanie run Kofski's Antiques. Since the news of Bernard Madoff's alleged money making scheme broke, calls have been pouring in. Hill says, "We have one client who is going to be selling his home."

The couple makes house calls. They pick-up anything from expensive chandeliers to "silver seems to be a big thing."

Hill says he doesn't specifically ask clients why they are selling off their personal property, but he does know he has three confirmed alleged Madoff victims' goods; however, most of his clients are just hitting tough financial times.

Many families just need to cut back and it's tough for some to part with heirlooms. Hill says, "I think it's harder for some people to dispose of things that are sentimental than others."

On the up side he says the goods are worth a lot, coming from wealthy Palm Beachers. Now, they are being re-sold to you.

Coming up on January 31 and February 1. Kofski's will hold an estate sale. Many belongings from those alleged victims will be up for grabs. If you can't wait, you can buy items now at their store on Palm Beach Island.
