Schools urged to pull peanut butter

(WFLX) - Health officials urge nursing homes, hospitals, schools and restaurants to toss out certain containers of peanut butter for fear of Salmonella.

A nationwide outbreak has already sickened more than 400 people in 43 states including Florida.

The recalled peanut butter is distributed by King Nut Companies. It was supplied only through food service providers. It was not sold directly to consumers.

Health officials announced they found a match between samples from a King Nut container and the strains of the same Salmonella bacteria that made people sick across the country.
