WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX) - It's internationally known and a marvel to see: A half-mile long "science tunnel" set up at the South Florida Science Museum in West Palm Beach.
After trips through Europe and Shanghai, the tunnel was brought to West Palm Beach by the Max Planck Society, a major bioscience company that is establishing itself in Palm Beach County.
The tunnel is located inside a new, 10,000 square-foot tent on the grounds of the museum, and features an interactive multimedia exhibition. Visitors can explore scientific discoveries through video stations, simulators, and hands-on exhibits that show everything from major meteorites to how the human body fights off a virus.
The exhibit runs for 10 weeks, from now though March 29th, 2009.
Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for children ages three to 12. Prices include access to the museum.
Exhibition times may vary. For more information, call 561.832.1988 or log onto http://www.sfsm.org/.
