IN transportation workers stumble upon $100k

Posted by Rachel Leigh email

PENDLETON POST, IN (WFLX) - Three transportation workers in Indiana were picking up trash along a roadway when they found $100,000 in cold, hard cash.

"The first thing I said was, 'Holy.' And you can fill in the blank," described one.

Another added, "I just kind of stared at it. It's one of those things that you see on movies and think, That only happens in the movies'. But when it happens in real life it's shocking.

"The way the economy is, chances are if I would have taken it and lose my job, it wouldn't be worth it," concluded the third.

The men found the money near a tire. They suspected it was drug money and called police. Officers brought in dogs who smelled drugs on the loot. It's unknown if the workers will be rewarded for their honesty.
