Long Beach, California-AP -- Recent strides in the improvement of video reproduction are literally inducing the American public to higher-quality televisions.
Craig McManis of Pioneer Electronics says his firm is embracing the plasma display for its high-end high-definition televisions, calling it the future of T-V.
McManis also says the prices on plasma televisions are coming down rapidly, making them more affordable to more of the American public.
So what's so good about plasma? McManis says Pioneer's displays are so life-like, you can see the hair on a baseball player's arms when he's at bat -- or -- see the stitches on the baseball in the pitcher's hand.
And the four-inch-thick plasma package is also a big hit, allowing people to get away from big cabinets that have dominated the television industry since it began.
