US House votes on delaying 'The Big Switch'

WASHINGTON (WFLX) - The House is expected to vote Wednesday on a bill that would delay the Digital TV switch to June instead of next month.

The Senate unanimously approved the idea Monday night; even so, broadcasters still will be allowed to go all-digital earlier if they want.

The Obama Administration and Democratic lawmakers argue too many Americans still use tv's with antennas, and they are not ready.

Nielsen estimates more than 6.5 million U.S. households could lose TV entirely if the move was made to digital.
