Condo seller sweetens deal with a Bentley

By Al Pefley email

SINGER ISLAND, FL (WFLX) - A Singer Island man who wants to sell his condo in this slow economy has come up with new way to lure buyers.

The asking price for the oceanfront penthouse condo at the Oasis is $3.5 million.

It's a three-bedroom, three and-a-half-bath beauty, with marble and hardwood floors, custom-made furniture and cabinets, and a breathtaking view of the ocean.

It's never been lived in.

The owner bought it as an investment and he put it on the market eight or nine months ago and since it hasn't sold yet, he decided to sweeten the deal by throwing in a 2005 Bentley Continental G-T with only seven-thousand miles!

"I thought it'd spice things up a little bit. I think we weren't getting as much action as we wanted so we thought we'd add some interest," said Walt Worthy, condo owner.

He told us it's a little like going fishing. "When you change up the bait, sometimes you get some bites that are a little different than the ones you've been gettin'," Worthy said.

Worthy says since they decided about a month ago to throw in the Bentley, they've had five or six  prospective buyers come to look at the condo, including a couple of people who've been back a second time.
