PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL (WFLX) - Rescuers are at Hood Road and Alternate A1A after two workers were shocked when the crane lowering them into the ground hit power lines, according to fire-rescue Chief C. R. Brown.

Workers at Seacoast Water Utility reportedly called 911 to report the incident. The Palm Beach County Fire-Rescue special operations team is also at the scene. The incident happened just after 8:30 a.m.

One man in the truck was seriously injured and is being flown to St. Mary's Medical Center with severe burns. The other man was not injured.

"The two workers were doing underground construction, being lowered into ground by crane. As they were lowered in, the crane contacted electrical power lines overhead," Brown said.
