TAMPA, FL (WFLX) - Doctors treating 24-year-old Nick Schuyler spoke about his condition Wednesday. They are saying it's a miracle he survived in the cold Gulf water for nearly two days.

Schuyler was on the boat off the coast of Florida, with two NFL players and another man, when it capsized.

Physicians say Schuyler was in 63-degree water for about 46 hours, and he probably could have lived only another 10 to 12 hours if he wasn't rescued Monday. "He's doing very well. As I mentioned, his condition is now upgraded to good. He will be leaving the ICU in the next couple of days, but I'm not sure when he will be released from the hospital yet."

Meanwhile, a crew is working to retrieve the boat he was on from the Gulf while volunteer boats search for the other people on board the boat.

The coast guard has suspended their search.
