WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - If your early-morning commute takes you on Interstate 95 near 45th Street and Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard, you’ve probably noticed you are driving in the dark.
The interstate lights in that area have been out for several days.
WFLX contacted the Florida Department of Transportation to get some answers.
FDOT who is responsible for maintaining the lighting in this area of I-95 says they are working to fix the problem.
A spokeswoman told WFLX the issue is with a transformer on 45th Street that powers the lighting. They say a maintenance contractor has notified FPL of the issue.
FDOT says FPL will need to restore power to the affected area.
