MCSO: Sergeant rescues woman after fiery crash

Officials say a Martin County Sheriff's Office sergeant pulled a woman car a fiery crash overnight.

The car burst into flames after crashing at SE St. Lucie Blvd., and SE Dixie Highway, the sheriff's office said.

Investigators said the woman was airlifted to a hospital with severe injuries.

Her condition has not been released.

FHP is investigating a single car crash that occurred overnight along SE St. Lucie Blvd, and SE Dixie Highway. The car crashed then burst into flames. A MCSO sergeant was able to pull the female victim from the burning vehicle while MCFR extinguished the fire. The victim was flown to the hospital with severe injuries. Her condition is unknown at this time time.
