Teens from a West Palm Beach high school are working to address racial injustice and highlight diverse artists.
A group of students who attend Dreyfoos School of the Arts held a peaceful protest Sunday afternoon in West Palm Beach.
They took to the streets marching through downtown with what they called an "equity parade" geared towards calling out injustices towards Black people in Palm Beach County and equitable treatment in daily life.
The parade also aimed to raise awareness about Black creators.
Event organizer Mayah Bernstein said, "I just want to make sure I can do as much as I can. I want to use my voice that I have as a White female to help support others and to help lift others."
They have also created "Embrace Black Voices", a website dedicated to highlight different artists, musicians, and writers, and showcase their work.
