Missing Oregon boy leads to murder plot

OREGON (WFLX) - Much has changed since Terri Horman appeared alongside her husband, Kaine three weeks ago following the disappearance of her stepson, Kyron.

According to a report in The Oregonian, Terri tried to hire her landscaper six or seven months ago to murder Kaine, Kyron's father.

Detectives reportedly shared the story with Kaine. Nine days ago, he moved out with their 19-month-old daughter, filed for divorce and obtained a restraining order.

It's also very important to the investigation though because it tells the police that she may have a propensity for violence, violence against a close family member, so it's certainly something they're going to follow up on.

Last week, Kyron's biological mother implied that Terri has not been helpful in the search for her son. Terri was the last known person to see Kyron at his school when he disappeared on June 4th.

"We implore Terri Horman to fully cooperate with the investigators to bring Kyron home."

Investigators confirm that Terri has hired an attorney, but they say she is just one of a number of people under investigation.

"Everyone's a person of interest. We have not named any suspects in this case at this point. Until Kyron is found I would not expect an arrest, unless there's a confession or a discovery of forensic evidence."

When questioned about the murder for hire, Terri reportedly denied the allegation.
