JUPITER, FL (WFLX) - From The Scripps Research Institute in Jupiter, scientists there say they've found that a particular type of genetic material plays a key role in determining your risk for developing an addiction to cocaine.

Rats with more of a certain molecule called Micro RNA 212 seemed to dislike the drug, but when scientists blocked that molecule in the rats, they consumed the drug in a compulsive manner.

Scientists say if they can figure out a way to stimulate or mimic that molecule, they can stop cocaine addiction.
