ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FL (WFLX) - A man, currently in jail in Polk County, now faces grand theft charges in St. Lucie County.

The sheriff says Tony Cross paid for at least two cars using bad checks. He is also accused of trading in one of those cars and using fraudulent information to finance another vehicle.

Cross was arrested in Polk County for violating probation following a conviction for a similar scheme in 2012. He will be moved to St. Lucie County once his Polk County charges are resolved.
