TALLAHASSEE, FL (WFLX) - Starting next year, your 4 and 5-year-old kids will need to be in booster seats while in cars. Governor Rick Scott signed the bill into law Tuesday.
The current law only required kids up to the age of 3 to be in car seats and booster seats. If you are caught not following the law, you face a fine of $60.
The bill goes in effect on January 1 of next year.
