Albert Cummings Live at The Lyric Theatre

Albert Cummings
Live at the Lyric Theatre
Saturday, January 8, 2005 at 7pm.

STUART, FL-   The historic Lyric Theatre is proud to announce the triumphant return of ALBERT CUMMINGS  to the Lyric stage for one performance only on Saturday, January 8.   Show time is 7pm;  tickets are $25.

Last years sold out performance left the crowd screaming for more.  This blues scorcher melds searing vocals and sizzling guitar riffs to produce gutsy, rocked-up blues with power, authority and soul.  With a sound inspired by and reminiscent of the late, great, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Cummings delivers jaw-dropping blues with joy and enthusiasm.

Cummings is truly one of the best new guitarists to hit the blues circuit in recent years.  He is a demon when it comes to ripping out a blazing blues run on his Fender and his voice, gruff and intoxicating, embraces his songs. The shadows and influence of Stevie Ray Vaughn, Robin Trower, James Dewar, and The Allman Brothers are evident in his work, but in a style that is uniquely his own.

Critical acclaim continues to be heaped upon Cummings as a live performer and in regard to his latest release -  True To Yourself.  In his review of ALBERT CUMMINGS 2002 debut CD – from the Heart- Tom Branson wrote – "I have met the future of the blues, and it is ALBERT CUMMINGS."  While reviewing Cummings latest release, Branson noted to naysayers-  "I told you so!"
