Hybrid car sparks Port St Lucie fire

A man was rushed to the hospital suffering burns and smoke inhalation after his hybrid vehicle caught fire in his Port St Lucie home.
According to police, the 49-year-old man was injured when his Ford hybrid vehicle caught fire the garage of the home along 3200 block of SW West Snow Road in Port St. Lucie shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday.
His wife and 2 children were also in the home but were not injured.
The investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
