Undated-AP -- As the nation begins to convert to digital television -- there's a resurgence of a seemingly not so high tech product: the roof antenna.
Many people with a digital T-V who want to get a digital signal are going to need an antenna.
Peter Logan with the electronics retailer Crutchfield says some type of an antenna is essential in most metropolitan areas since satellite and cable T-V industries aren't yet broadcasting over-the-air digital channels.
Logan says some of these antennas for digital reception are very futuristic looking. Prices start at around 100 bucks.
The satellite T-V industry, too, has helped revitalize the T-V antenna industry. Specially-designed antennas are made to clip onto an 18-inch dish in order for customers to get their local network affiliates.
