Construction workers discover 11-foot python inside pipe

MIAMI DADE, FL (WFLX) - South Florida workers got a scary surprise when they find a huge python hiding in a pipe!
One brave worker actually grabbed the 11-foot python, by the head, and yanked in free. It's not clear how or when it slithered its way into the pipe.
The Miami-Dade Fire Rescue's venom unit was called in to haul the snake away. "I'm not sure where the pipes were stored, The pipes were covered up, transferred on a truck, unloaded with a piece of equipment, and set on the ground," said an official. "When they uncovered the pipes this [Tuesday] morning that's when they discovered the snake."
The snake is now with Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission. Officials will then scan it for a chip to see if it's someone's pet.
