BURLINGTON, Conn. (WFSB/Gray News) - Three bodies were found in a foreclosed home that was auctioned to a new owner in Connecticut, according to authorities.

State police said they responded to a home at 4:45 p.m. Sunday.

According to state police, a new homebuyer bought the property “as is” during a foreclosure auction. The new homeowner discovered the skeletal remains inside.

State police said they investigated a suspicious incident at an address on Stanwich Lane in Burlington. They were called there on June 14, 2026.(WFSB)

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has not yet determined a cause of death for the three people.

One neighbor said she saw an older man emptying the trash several months ago. However, troopers said there was no indication of foul play.

The identities of the bodies have not yet been confirmed, state police said.

Town records showed the house was bought in 2019 by Paul and Sally Anne Cash. The foreclosure process started last summer.

The investigation remains ongoing.
